Help
Overview
This portal allows you to manage application access for your organization's GB Launcher users. Your view is limited to your own organization, and any changes you make will only affect users within it. From here you can invite new users, manage their application access, deactivate or reactivate accounts, and resolve common application issues without needing to contact G&B.
Managing users
To add a new user, click Invite and enter their name, email
address, and the application(s) they need. They will receive a single-use
installation link by email, which expires after approximately one week. If
the link expires or is not received, use Resend invite to
send a new one; this will invalidate the previous link automatically.
To change which applications an existing user can access, locate them in the
user list and use Manage access. Tick or untick applications to
grant or remove access; newly granted apps trigger an email with a setup link, and
the user does not need to reinstall GB Launcher. Removed apps disappear from the
user's launcher at its next check-in.
To revoke a user's access, locate them in the user list and click
Deactivate. Their launcher will display an access-revoked
message at its next check-in. To restore access at a later date, reactivate
the user and send them a fresh invite. Please note that deactivation only
affects the launcher; it does not disable the user's Windows account or revoke
their access to underlying data sources. Full offboarding requires additional
steps outside this portal, including Windows account removal and data access
revocation through your IT department.
Managing applications
If a new application release introduces a problem for your organization, use
Pin to previous version to roll all of your users back to a
prior version. Select the affected application, choose the version you wish to
revert to, and enter a brief reason. Users will receive the pinned version the
next time they open the application. Once G&B has resolved the issue and
released a corrected version, remember to remove the pin so that your users
receive the update. Note that G&B may override your pin for security
reasons, in which case you will be notified by email.
If a single user's application is misbehaving while other users are unaffected,
the cause is typically corrupted local files. Use Reset working
copy to replace their local installation with a clean copy of the same
version. The replacement takes place the next time the user opens the application
and may take up to one minute to complete.
Contacting G&B
For new applications, new versions, or issues that persist after a reset and repair, contact G&B. You should also reach out if a user encounters a compatibility error message, or if you need to perform an action that is not available in this portal.
